What Students Will Learn
Camp Activity Descriptions
Horseback Riding
Learning the basics of horseback riding. Students will be introduce to proper balance, mounting, dismounting and controlling the horse, walk and trot.
Caring for Farm Animals
Students will learn proper grooming techniques, care and anatomy of various types of farm animals.
Farm Exploration
Take a hike in to the wooded trails of Freedom Ride Farms. Explore nature and fun activities along the way.
Gardening
Students will participate in a gardening project and care for their choice of flower or vegetable. Plants will be taken home at the end of the camp.
Sensory Games
Yard Jenga, barn toss, corn hole, and horseback games.
All day campers should bring a lunch and beverage.
Campers should have boots with 1/4″ heel, long pants, swim suit, towel and comfortable clothing for when they are not riding. Safety helmets are provided by Freedom Ride Farms.
Campers should arrive no earlier than 30 minutes prior to camp start and be picked up promptly at the end of camp time unless other arrangements have been made.
